Patriot Tennis Classic Set for May 10

UT Tyler will hold its second annual Patriot Tennis Classic starting May 10.

The pro-am will be held at the UT Tyler Summers Tennis Center. The theme is “Past, Present and Future,” with a tournament doubles format.

Past UT Tyler tennis players and top teaching professionals will play with local amateur players.

There will be both men’s doubles and mixed doubles. The entry fee is $200 per player.

Russell Seymour and Fred Kniffen will be recognized for their outstanding contributions tennis at UT Tyler. Both Seymour and Kniffen served as UT Tyler tennis coaches and led their programs to national competitions.

Linda Resnick serves as chair of this event.

Admission is free.

Proceeds from the tennis tournament benefit the UT Tyler Athletic Program.
