Exploring the World of Engineering

High school students build pop bottle rockets during an open house sponsored by UT Tyler electrical and mechanical engineering departments April 3. More than 60 juniors and seniors from Lindale, Whitehouse and Chapel Hill visited the university to learn about career opportunities in engineering. ‘Annie’ Continues April 11-13

The UT Tyler Theatre Repertory Company’s final performances of the musical “Annie’’ will be April 11-13 in Vaughan Auditorium.

Patriot Days to Include Make-Your-Own Videos

UT Tyler’s third annual Patriot Days Student Appreciation Week will be Monday-Friday, April 7-11.

Activities will include:
Monday – Bowling tournament, 3 p.m. at Green Acres Bowl in Tyler.
Tuesday – Free car wash, 2-4 p.m. at the University Pines Apartments.
Wednesday – Make-Your-Own Music Videos,’’ 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the University Center, Room 118. Big Scoop ice cream will be served from noon to 2 p.m. in the University Center. More>>>

Patriots Beat UT Dallas 9-0

The UT Tyler men’s and women's tennis teams beat UT Dallas 9-0 in a dual match held at the Summers Tennis Center March 29. Neither team lost one set in route to victory.

The UT Tyler women's team, led by team captain Lauren Collum, won all matches without losing one set. Lauren Collum and Katie Burrow beat UTD's #1 team Leslie Chen and Alexis McCubbin 8-3 in doubles. Lauren (#1) then defeated Leslie Chen (UTD) in singles 6-4, 6-0. More>>>
