noon to 5 p.m. daily.
The
life story of the greatly loved Little Orphan
Annie will be set against the backdrop of the
reality of the Depression era, when orphans
were less the stuff of comic action and were
true unfortunates in a time of social deprivation
and economic chaos. “Annie" will
be a presentation of fantasy, love and witty
lyrics.
“When our own current events are filled
with tragedy at home and abroad, a production
of ‘Annie’ that reminds us of the
power of childlike optimism that there can be
a better tomorrow is well worth the effort,"
said Dr. James Hatfield, UT Tyler director of
theatre. “This production will both entertain
and educate."
The more than 60 cast members include UT Tyler
students as well as adults and children from
the community.
