The Office of Student Development will begin a Freshman Spotlight program on Sept. 1 to honor outstanding freshmen. One student will be announced each week as “Freshman of the Week.” Each honoree will receive a $10 gift certificate to the UT Tyler bookstore, a certificate of achievement presented by an administrator or student development staff member and will have his or her picture published in the IntercomOnline campus newsletter. Faculty and
staff may nominate a freshman whom they believe has excelled in
class, student activities, leadership, attitude or in any other
