Fall 2002 President’s, Dean’s Lists Announced

UT Tyler has named 184 students to the President’s Honor Roll and 191 students to the Dean’s List for the 2002 fall semester. More>>>

Engineering Receives NSF Grant

UT Tyler has been awarded a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation for a project designed to attract and retain engineering students.

A proposal by Dr. Jeffrey Mountain, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, titled “Development of a Process Control Breadboard System to Attract and Retain Engineering Students" was awarded a grant for $292,369 through the NSF Division of Engineering Education and Centers’ Engineering Education Program. UT System Announces Administrative Appointments

AUSTIN – Chancellor Mark G. Yudof has moved to complete his administrative team with appointments in the offices of academic affairs, governmental relations and community relations.

Yudof announced the appointments of:

  • Brian K. Jammer as assistant vice chancellor for governmental relations, effective Jan. 1.
  • Dr. Pedro Reyes as associate vice chancellor for planning and assessment in the Office of Academic Affairs, effective Jan. 15.
  • Deanna D. Rodriguez as associate vice chancellor for community relations and executive associate for strategic communications, effective Jan. 15. More>>>

Tennis Program Announces Spring Players

Lorita MorganLorita Morgan, a student from Houston, will begin playing tennis for UT Tyler this spring, and Maciek Hunek from Winnipeg, Canada, has rejoined the team.

Hunek was the number one player on the team last year and went undefeated against Division III schools, Coach Kenneth Olivier said. More>>>

Student Success Seminars Begin Jan. 29

The UT Tyler Academic Enrichment Center will present spring semester Student Success Seminars beginning Jan. 29 to help students enhance their academic performance.

The seminars are open to UT Tyler students, faculty and staff. Day seminars, which include a free lunch, will be held in the University Center, Room 118. Evening seminars will be held in the clubhouse of the University Pines student apartments. More>>>
