contest recently.

contest, which is planned to be an annual event, took place

of the UT Tyler Student Affiliate Chapter of the American
Chemical Society presented a "Chemical Magic Show"

Receives Grant for Geometry Technology Training
UT
Tyler has been awarded a $79,000 grant from the Texas Higher
Education Coordinating Board Teacher Quality Grant Program,
formerly known as the Eisenhower Grants Program.
The
grant will fund “New Dimensions: Transforming Geometry
through Technology,” a five-week summer institute addressing
the incorporation of technology in the geometry classroom.

States Attorney Matthew D. Orwig announced today that The
University of Texas at Tyler has been awarded a Department
of Justice grant in the amount of $149,987. UT Tyler has been
awarded the grant to serve as the Research Partner/Crime Analyst
for the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative. More>>>

Student Named All-American Scholar
Mark Taylor, a graduate student at UT Tyler, has been named
a Collegiate All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement
Academy’s recognition program for exceptional students.
The
program recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American college
students and is based on the student’s academic performance,
interest and aptitude, leadership qualities and recommendation

Robert H. Cranford, chair and professor,
mathematics, celebrates 30 years of continuous service at
