New Parking Lot – Construction of a 245-space parking lot in front of the Cowan Center (facing Varsity Drive) is being solicited. The proposed parking lot will include sidewalks, lighting, landscaping and irrigation. Construction expected to be completed in September. Louise Herrington Patriot Center – Building expected to open by fall semester. The 127,500 square-foot complex will house classrooms, faculty offices, indoor jogging/walking track, exercise equipment, free weight area, gymnasium/convocation area with volleyball and basketball courts, racquetball courts and an outdoor pool. David G. and Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Building, College of Nursing and Health Sciences – Building expected to open by fall semester. The two-story facility will contain about 37,000 square feet and house classrooms, a student lounge area, conference room, study labs, computer labs, nursing skills labs and faculty offices. Longview
University Center monument signs –
There will be two 46-foot lighted concrete and
masonry monument signs, one on each side of
the entrance to the Longview campus. A request
for proposals is being prepared for the construction
