College
of Nursing and Health Sciences faculty and
staff show a time capsule before it was stored
in a wall of the new nursing building –
the David G. and Jacqueline M. Braithwaite
Building scheduled to open in the fall. The
capsule contains class photos, brochures,
a UT Tyler nursing patch, an issue of The
Patriot student newspaper and other items
reflecting the history of the college. The
capsule, which also includes a letter explaining
its contents, is intended to be opened in
25 years. The Professional Development Committee,
chaired by Belinda Deal, organized the historical
preservation project. Pictured are, from left,
