Freshman Orientation 2003 will be held on Thursday, June 12, and again on July 10 and July 24 at UT Tyler. The one-day orientation is required of all freshmen. The event gives students and parents an opportunity to meet new friends, visit with UT Tyler students and professors and become familiar with the campus. Students can meet the deans of their colleges and receive information on what it will take to be successful in college. Parents learn about what students will face during the first semester. They also can ask questions and get answers on any concerns they may have.
