In the Spotlight

Sean Butler, junior chemistry major, presented a poster titled “The Design and Synthesis of Macroindicators as Sensitive Colorimetric Sensors" at the National Alpha Chi Convention, held March 13-16 in Washington, D.C.

Butler’s poster presented results of a research project carried out under the supervision of Dr. H. Neil Gray, associate professor of chemistry, and funded by The Welch Foundation, Houston.

As a Welch Scholar, Butler receives a scholarship from The Welch Foundation for conducting chemical research to enhance his knowledge and use of chemistry.
