Raffle Tickets Available for Texas ‘Shootout’ Barbecue, Auction

Tickets are still available for the annual raffle, sponsored by Patriot Ambassadors. The raffle is part of the 2003 UT Tyler Texas “Shootout” Barbecue and Auction.

A 2003 Buick Rendezvous sport utility vehicle, donated by Barrett Motor Company and valued at $26,045, will be awarded to the winning ticket holder.

Raffle tickets are $100 each and chances are one in 300.

Proceeds benefit the UT Tyler scholarship program for students at the university’s Tyler, Longview and Palestine campuses.

The 2003 Texas “Shootout” Barbecue and Auction will be held Saturday, May 17 at 6 p.m. on the UT Tyler campus.

Individual tickets to the barbecue and auction are $75 each. The event will feature silent and live auction items. This year’s live auction will feature a thoroughbred colt donated by Tom and Marcia Slack.

Table and bar sponsorships also are available.

Tanya Sims and the Bobcats will be the evening’s entertainment.

The entire event is organized by the Patriot Ambassadors, which is an auxiliary organization.
