Marina Lakhiaevai, a finance major, is presented the Freshman Spotlight Award by Dr. Michael Eidenmuller, assistant professor of speech communication, on Nov 3. Nominated by Eidenmuller, Lakhiaevai was honored for academic excellence and motivation. She is an international student from Russia. Honorees receive a Freshman Spotlight certificate and a $10 gift certificate to the campus bookstore. Faculty and staff may nominate a freshman by sending an e-mail to freshmanspotlight@uttyler.edu.
