Wednesday
Film Series Presents “Viva Max!”
The
Third Wednesday Film Series will continue Nov. 19 with the presentation
of “Viva Max!,” starring Peter Ustinov and Jonathan
Winters.
The film (1969,
92 minutes) will be shown at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in FPAC 1009.
Single tickets are $4. UT Tyler, TJC and Texas College students
are admitted free with valid ID.
“Viva
Max!” directed by Jerry Paris, is the story of Gen. Rodrigues
de Santos, who remembers the Alamo and wants to take it back for
his fellow countrymen. Double Oscar-winner Ustinov plays the title
character in this broadly hilarious adaptation of newsman Jim Lehrer’s
biting satirical novel.
A joint project
of the UT Tyler Friends of the Arts and the theatre program, the
film series spotlights classic, documentary and foreign films. “Totally
Texas” is the theme this semester. For more information call
