The music program will present the Patriot Singers in concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the UT Tyler Longview University Center. The Patriot Singers, UT Tyler’s newest select vocal ensemble, will perform music of the holiday season. The concert will be open to the public. Admission will be free. The concert replaces one previously scheduled to take place at the Cowan Center, which was announced in the "Spotlight," the School fo Visual and Performing Arts calendar. Making its debut this fall, the group of 20 vocalists features Broadway, spirituals, jazz and popular styles under the direction of Dr. Mark Johnson, assistant professor of music. The
Patriot Singers also will present a series of
“Carol Concerts" Dec. 2 - 5 in various
buildings on the Tyler campus.
