Dr. Randall S. Sulton, associate professor of music at East Texas Baptist University, will perform a solo piano recital Monday, Oct. 13, at the Cowan Center. The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Braithwaite Recital Hall. Selections will be performed from Nine Pieces for Piano (1976), Harold Schiffman; Sonata No. 47 in B minor, Franz Joseph Haydn; Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op. 52, Frederic Chopin; Variations (1930), Aaron Copland; Goyescas, Enrique Granados; and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12 in C-sharp minor, Franz Liszt. A native of South Carolina, Sulton maintains an active performance schedule with solo recitals and concerto appearances throughout Texas and the Midwest. Sulton holds degrees in piano performance from Converse College, Florida State University and The University of Texas at Austin. For more information
