Niquita Loeffler, left, is presented the Freshman Spotlight award by Krista Richardson, coordinator of career services. Honored for her involvement both inside and outside the classroom, Loeffler has attended the Nursing Student Learning Community seminar and outside programming activities on a regular basis. She is a member of VOICES, a service based student organization, and plays on an intramural volleyball team. Honorees receive a Freshman Spotlight certificate and a $10 gift certificate to the campus bookstore. Faculty and staff may nominate a freshman by sending an e-mail to freshmanspotlight@uttyler.edu.
