ABC News Correspondent Ann Compton to Speak at UT Tyler


Ann ComptonAnn Compton will be the speaker at the Vernon and Amy Faulconer Lecture, which is a part of the UT Tyler 2003-04 Distinguished Lecture Series.

Compton replaces retired Gen. Wesley Clark who withdrew from the series in an effort to avoid any problems with presidential campaign finance regulations.

The Vernon and Amy Faulconer Lecture featuring Compton will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Cowan Center. Compton also will be featured in a student seminar for university students at 4 p.m. that day in the Braithwaite Recital Hall of the Cowan Center. More>>>

Danny Byram to Lead Singer/Songwriter Workshop

Danny ByramA Singer/songwriter workshop featuring internationally acclaimed artist Danny Byram will be 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Braithwaite Recital Hall.

The free workshop will cover all aspects of songwriting, from Bach to rock. It will be open to all students, faculty and staff. More>>>

‘Virtual Classroom’ Conference Oct. 23-24

The UT Tyler College of Nursing and Health Sciences will sponsor a professional conference on the fundamentals of Internet courses.

“Creating the Virtual Classroom” will be offered Oct. 23 and 24 at the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. The conference is open to educators, students, health care professionals and the general public. More>>>

Chemistry Lecture to Feature Michael Doyle

Braithwaite Building Dedication Wednesday

A dedication ceremony will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, for the UT Tyler David G. and Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Building, which houses the College of Nursing.
