Danny Byram to Lead Singer/Songwriter Workshop

A Singer/songwriter workshop featuring internationally acclaimed artist Danny Byram will be 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Braithwaite Recital Hall.

The free workshop will cover all aspects of songwriting, from Bach to rock. It will be open to all students, faculty and staff.

An award-winning Contemporary Christian musician and producer, Byram has traveled to five continents across the globe since the inception of his music ministry in 1987. He has performed concerts for U.S. military personnel in places such as Korea, Okinawa, Guam, Panama, Europe, South America and Africa.

During Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, the singer flew from post to ships on the Indian Ocean, sporting camos and flak jacket, earning him the name of “Combat Musician’’ from the troops and chaplains.
