- Drug
and Alcohol Awareness Week activities at UT Tyler, Monday-Friday,
Oct. 27-31. Events will include: Monday - Magic Show with CJ Jones
and Brian Underwood, 7 p.m., UC; Wednesday - Alcohol awareness
seminar and free lunch, noon-1 p.m., UC 118, and
Monster Mash Costume Party, 7-9 p.m. at UPines clubhouse; Thursday
- Thrill Cinemation Theater, noon-6 p.m., Patriot Center parking
lot; Friday - Free, confidential alcohol screenings, 10 a.m.-noon
and 2-4 p.m., UC282.
- Singer/songwriter
workshop featuring nationally ranked artist Danny Byram,
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, Braithwaite Recital Hall.
The free workshop will cover all aspects of songwriting,
from Bach to rock. Open to all students, faculty and staff.
- Tyler
Community Band Concert, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, Vaughn
Auditorium.
- Flu
shots will be given 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29,
in the nursing skills lab (BRB 2440). The shots are free to benefits

seminar featuring ABC news correspondent Ann Compton,
4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, Braithwaite Recital Hall.
- Vernon
and Amy Faulconer Lecture featuring ABC news correspondent Ann
Compton, 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, Cowan Center. The
lecture is part of the 2003-04 Distinguished Lecture Series. For

- Halloween
Blood Drive, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, UC 102. All
UT Tyler faculty, staff and students are encouraged to donate
blood. All donors will receive a free T-shirt.
- USAC
"Meet Your Rep" coffee, 8-9:30 a.m. Friday,
Nov. 7, Herrington Patriot Center lobby. Coffee, donuts and juice
for all.
