Tickets on Sale for Bowfire, The Music Man

BowfireTickets are on sale at the Cowan Center for performances of Bowfire and The Music Man.

The hit musical The Music Man, a Broadway Series production sponsored by Southside Bank, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18. Tickets are $46 and $36.

Bowfire is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. The Performing Arts Series event is sponsored by Joyce Buford and Dermatology Associates of Tyler. Tickets are $41, $31 and $21.

UT Tyler students receive one free ticket to each event when presenting their current student ID at the box office window during single ticket sales. Student tickets may be limited to 200 tickets per performance or until tickets have sold out. All tickets are based on a first-come-first-served basis. It is recommended that students obtain tickets when they first go on sale.

Faculty and staff may receive up to two discounts to each event.

The Music ManThe Music Man depicts the arrival of champion salesman Harold Hill in River City, Iowa, and his exploits as he convinces the townspeople that they need a marching band complete with first-class instruments and gold-trimmed uniforms. This musical features such favorites as “Lida Rose,” “76 Trombones” and “Til There was You.”

Eleven sizzling violinists join fiddle forces to make Bowfire one of the hottest acts currently touring North America. This high-octane fiddling festival features electrifying music with solos by violinists in genres like jazz, classical, bluegrass, Celtic and modern.
