Averaging almost 10 assists per game, Hayslip is making her presence known in the American Southwest Conference as a talented setter according to head coach Rachel Short. “She is unpredictable on the court which is a huge asset for a setter … she can lead the defense away from our hitters.” Hayslip is also fierce at the serving line, serving 100 percent with 28 serves and no errors against McMurry over the weekend. “Last week Cathryn showed extreme dedication and effort on the court in practice,” said Short. “On game days, she has the ability to pull the team up when they are behind and help lead them to a win.” Hayslip comes to UT Tyler from UT Brownsville.
