‘Sound
of Music’ Tickets on Sale
Tickets are on sale for “The Sound of Music,”
a Performing Arts Series event to be presented Saturday, Oct. 4,
at the Cowan Center.
UT Tyler students
receive one free ticket to each event when presenting their current
ID at the Cowan Center box office during single ticket sales. Student
tickets may be limited to 200 per performance or until tickets are
sold out. All tickets are based on a first-come-first-served basis.
Student tickets are not available to Special Events Series performances.
Full-time employees
may receive up to two discount tickets per show, with the exception
of the Special Events Series.
“The
Sound of Music” performance is sponsored by The Vaughn Foundation.
Popular with
audiences of all ages, the Rodgers and Hammerstein production tells
the story of Maria, a spirited young novice who leaves the abbey
to become a governess, endears herself to a family of seven motherless
children and warms the heart of their stern widowed father.
The production
features a glorious score including “My Favorite Things,”
“Do Re Mi” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.”
