Brad Crumpton, a chemical engineering major and member of the Engineering Student Learning Community, was the Freshman Spotlight award recipient for the week of Sept. 15. Nominated by Dr. Jason Kautz, visiting assistant professor of chemistry, Crumpton was honored for his enthusiasm in class, work ethic, perfect attendance and constant desire to learn. Honorees receive a Freshman Spotlight certificate and a $10 gift certificate to the campus bookstore. Faculty and staff may nominate a freshman by sending an e-mail to freshmanspotlight@uttyler.edu.
