UT Tyler President Rodney Mabry (second from right), Mrs. Merle Mabry (center) and Jim Roberts (holding plaque), chair of the Longview University Center Development Council, join Longview and Gregg County officials in breaking ground for the LUC entrance signage Sept. 24. Construction of the signage is made possible by the generosity of 11 supporters of the LUC.
Mrs. Merle Mabry, wife of President Mabry, is pictured with Jim Roberts, who is holding a plaque recognizing Mrs. Mabry for her interest in and support of the LUC. The plaque will be erected near the entrance signage.
