UT Tyler Pool Party

The
UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center/Student Government Association
and Student Development Team co-sponsored a tennis tournament
and pool party at the HPC Friday evening. The festivities
included pizza donated by CiCi's and T-shirt givaways. Follow

Campus
Community Meeting

Dr.
Jim Ferguson, vice president for business affairs, presents
the revised campus master plan on Friday, during a meeting
open to the entire campus community at the library. An additional
meeting will be scheduled for those who were unable to attend.
The revised campus master plan is scheduled for review by
the UT Board of Regents in November. Construction underway
or scheduled to start soon includes an additional parking
lot north of the Cowan Center, renovation of the campus lakes,
soccer field, power plant, baseball/softball facility, student
apartments and Engineering, Science and Technology building.

Classes Announced
The
UT Tyler Herring Patriot Center will offer
a two-week trial of sample classes that
may be held there this fall.
If
interest is high, each class will be scheduled
on a 6-week basis. More>>>

Engineering/Computer
Science Awarded Equipment Grant
UT
Tyler has been awarded an equipment grant
that will provide digital signal processor
hardware and software for student use
in the College of Engineering and Computer
Science.
The
Texas Engineering and Technical Consortium/Texas Instruments
grant, valued at $15,940, will provide TMS320C64X digital
signal processor starter kits hardware along with Code Composer
tools for software development, said Dr. Mukul Shirvaikar,
associate professor of electrical engineering.
