Most of the team arrived via the Flight For Life Emergency Helicopter, which landed in the rear parking lot at the campus. “Most trauma & neuro patients are transported to Tyler hospitals from Palestine Regional Medical Center where our students do their clinical rotation,’’ said Deborah Stauffer, senior lecturer at the Palestine Campus. “We try to supplement clinical experiences with additional outside experiences, to ensure the Palestine students get exposed to the same type experiences that the Tyler students get.”

trauma team from Mother Frances Trauma Services recently visited
the UT Tyler Palestine Campus to reinforce lecture material on trauma
and neuro-trauma for third-semester nursing students (NURS 4632).
