ZhongLan, wife of the vice mayor of Qujing, China, and Guiqiong

Tyler Thursday during their visit to Tyler. Also pictured are (from
left) Windy Taylor, who served as Tyler host to the guests; Dr.
Dale Lunsford, UT Tyler vice president for student affairs and external
relations; and interpreter Hong Arthur of Tyler. In 2001, the city
of Tyler initiated a friendship city agreement with Qujing that
promotes cultural, educational, and medical exchanges. ZhongLan
collected information about UT Tyler to be shared with Chinese students
seeking opportunities to study in the United States. A delegation
of six students from Qujing Teachers University will visit UT Tyler
next summer.
