The UT Tyler Office of News and Information was honored during the East Texas Advertising Federation ADDY Awards dinner Feb. 21 in Tyler.

The news and information office received two gold and five bronze ADDY Awards in the annual competition, which recognizes creative excellence in the art of advertising across the East Texas area. The department has received 20 ADDY Awards since 2001. More>>>

Cowan to Present MOMIX – Cactus Opus

MOMIX, a company of dancer-illusionists under the direction of Moses Pendleton, will bring its choreographed show “Opus Cactus’’ to the Cowan Center on March 18.

Patriot basketball seven-footer Peter Gerding, a sophomore from The Woodlands, tries out a different sport as a student in the Sports Activities – Softball (KINE-1102) class. UTA and Vought Aircraft Announce Collaboration

AUSTIN – Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. and The University of Texas at Arlington will enter into a major collaborative agreement that will give the university's aerospace engineering program a presence in the company's Dallas manufacturing operations. More>>>

Apartments – Construction has begun to create 200 beds in four buildings. Details>>>

Baseball/Softballs Fields – The first phase is expected to go out to bid in April.

Dormitory – An architect has been selected to design the building. Details>>>

Engineering, Science and Technology Building – Project is out to bid. Proposals are to be opened at 2 p.m. March 3.

Performance Soccer Field – Construction has begun. Completion expected in May.

Longview University Center monument signs – Project underway. Anticipated completion date is March 30.

Other Projects: Request for qualifications went out for the design of two more parking lots and a small renovation project in PHE. Evaluations are being completed for selection of the architect. Details>>>
