Cowan
to Present MOMIX – Cactus Opus
MOMIX,
a company of dancer-illusionists under the direction of Moses
Pendleton, will bring its choreographed show “Opus Cactus’’
to the Cowan Center on March 18.
The
Performing Art Series event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Vaughn
Auditorium. “Opus Cactus’’ is sponsored
by the late Mrs. David G. Braithwaite as a Braithwaite Performing
Arts Program jointly presented by UT Tyler Cowan Center and

Area
practitioners served as panelists during the Criminal Justice
Practitioners Forum presented by the UT Tyler Criminal Justice
Students Association Feb. 17 in UC 118. Practitioners were
invited to speak about volunteer, internship and career possibilities
in the criminal justice field.

basketball seven-footer Peter Gerding, a sophomore from The
Woodlands, tries out a different sport as a student in the
Sports Activities – Softball (KINE-1102) class. The
co-ed class, which teaches the basics of the game as far as
skills, strategy and recreation, includes students from various

AUSTIN
– Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. and The University
of Texas at Arlington will enter into a major collaborative
agreement that will give the university's aerospace engineering
program a presence in the company's Dallas manufacturing operations.

underway. Anticipated completion date is March 30.

Projects: Request for qualifications went out for
the design of two more parking lots and a small renovation
project in PHE. Evaluations are being completed for selection
