Tyler Cox Communications Patriot Hole-in-One to be Held in
Tyler, Longview
The UT
Tyler Cox Communications Patriot Million Dollar Hole-in-One
Contest will be held May 8 – 15 at contest sites in
Tyler and Longview.
The
contests offer amateur golfers age 18 and older the opportunity
to compete, at $1 per shot, in preliminary daily rounds. More>>>

‘Shirley’s
Pig’ Visits Campus
Four-year-old
"Shirley's Pig," a wild hog, visits students in
a stress management class taught by Dr. Keith McCoy, professor
of health and kinesiology. The April 27 pig-calling contest
served as a final exams stress reliever, Dr. McCoy said.

The UT Tyler athletics department has announced the names
of Patriot cheerleaders for 2004-05.

Students Visit Sabine High School
UT
Tyler engineering classes presented their projects in
senior design and mechanical systems design to students
at Sabine High School in Liberty City Friday.
Accompanied
by Dr. Donald Goddard, associate professor of mechanical
engineering,
five senior design and three mechanical systems design
teams spent the afternoon presenting posters and computer

Tickets

drawing is sponsored by Patriot Ambassadors, a volunteer auxiliary
organization, and benefits UT Tyler scholarship program for
students at the Tyler, Longview and Palestine campuses.
This
year’s drawing will allow the winning ticket holder
to choose between a Mustang GT convertible, Escape Ltd. SUV,
Freestar SES minivan or F150 XLT Super Crew truck.

HPC
to Offer Family Day May 8
The
Herrington Patriot Center will offer events for the entire
family from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 8, Bob Hepler, director
of recreation facilities, announced.
HPC
Family Day is open to all UT Tyler students, faculty, retirees,
alumni association members and their families. Admission will
be free.
All
children under 16 must be directly supervised by a parent
or legal guardian. No children under 16 are allowed in the
weight and cardio area. More>>>

IntercomOnline
to be Published
Monthly This Summer
This
is the final issue of the IntercomOnline for the spring semester.
The IntercomOnline will be published monthly this summer,
on the first Monday of each month. The online newsletter will
return to its weekly publication schedule at the beginning
of the fall semester.

Construction is in progress to create 200 beds in four buildings
and a meeting/game/office entrance building. Completion expected

Baseball/softballs

and restrooms.
