Dr. Arun Kulkarni, interim chair and professor of computer science, published his work in the area of data mining in the IEEE international journal. “Knowledge discovery from multispectral satellite images’’ was published in IEEE Geosciences and Remote Sensing Letters (GRSL), Vol. 1, No. 4, pp 246-250. The paper was co-authored by graduate student Sara McCaslin. Dr. Kulkarni also gave an invited presentation, “Knowledge discovery from satellite images,” at the International Workshop for InSAR community at Oxnard, Calif., Oct. 20-22.
