Possible Tuition Increases to be Discussed at Town Hall Meetings

UT Tyler will hold town hall meetings to discuss possible tuition and fee increases for the 2005 fall semester. Members of the university community are encouraged to attend and let their perspectives/opinions be known.

Meetings will be held at all three campuses:

• Longview – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, LUC 113.

• Palestine – noon Tuesday, Dec. 7, PAL 101.

• Tyler – 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, and noon Wednesday, Dec. 8, University Center atrium.

Dr. Jim Ferguson, vice president for business affairs, will be present to explain the prognosis for the university’s future budgets, why tuition/fee increases may be necessary and how new tuition/fee revenues will be used to enrich the educational experience at UT Tyler.
