UT Tyler President Rodney Mabry expresses his appreciation to Wendy Minix, purchasing development coordinator, during a Historically Underutilized Business celebration reception Nov. 18. The offices of the President and Vice President for Business Affairs sponsored the reception to recognize the hard work and commitment of those who support the HUB program. For the fiscal year ending in August, UT Tyler’s overall HUB participation percentage was 25.04 percent, ranking the university 19th among the top 25 Texas agencies that expend more than $5 million annually. UT Tyler exceeded state goals in three categories -- building construction, professional services and commodity purchasing.
