Steinway Artist Robert Roux to Perform Oct. 22
The UT Tyler Friends of the Arts will sponsor a piano recital and master class featuring Steinway artist Dr. Robert Roux on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 22-23, at the Cowan Center.
The recital will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, with the master class scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. More>>>

3rd Wednesday Film Series Presents ‘The Europeans’

The Friends of the Arts and the UT Tyler theatre department will present “The Europeans’’ Oct. 20 as part of the Third Wednesday Film Series.
The film will be shown at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Cowan Center lecture hall, Room 1009. Tickets are $4. UT Tyler, Tyler Junior College and Texas College students will be admitted free with valid ID. More>>>

IntercomOnline Announces New Publication Schedule
The IntercomOnline will now be published twice monthly, the UT Tyler Office of News and Information has announced. The online campus newsletter was previously published weekly.
The next issue is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 1.
To submit news items for possible publication in the Intercom Online, e-mail Emily Battle at ebattle@uttyler.edu. The deadline for submissions is the Tuesday prior to the next issue.

University Receives $500,000 for Braithwaite Endowed Faculty Chair
UT Tyler has been given a $500,000 gift from the Jacqueline M. and David G. Braithwaite Trust to establish the David G. Braithwaite Chair in Biochemistry, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.
“Once again, the generosity of the Braithwaite Trust will aid us in our mission to provide quality education to the East Texas region. This endowment will allow us to add another outstanding educator to our faculty,” President Mabry said. More>>>

SVPA to Present Internationally-Acclaimed Saxophone Quartet
UT Tyler School of Visual and Performing Arts will host the Harvey Pittel Saxophone Quartet on Monday, Oct. 18, Dr. John Webb, SVPA director, announced.

Nursing Surveys Area Physicians Concerning End of Life Care Decision
The UT Tyler College of Nursing and Health Sciences is gathering data from East Texas physicians for a research study examining physicians’ roles in and attitudes regarding end of life care decisions, Dr. Gloria Duke, principle investigator and UT Tyler associate dean for research and outreach, announced. 80 Athletes Participate in Heart Walk

Members of UT Tyler baseball, softball and women's soccer teams took part in the American Heart Walk held Sept. 11 in Tyler. The teams volunteered to help set up the event as well as register participants and raise money. More>>>
