Comedian Juston McKinney to Perform Thursday

Student Activities will present the comedy show “Just Joking’’ featuring Juston McKinney at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in UT Tyler’s University Center.

Admission will be free to UT Tyler students, faculty and staff. All others will be admitted for $5. Refreshments will be provided. More>>>

Freshmen Invited to Participate in Assessment

UT Tyler freshmen, along with freshmen at the other eight UT campuses, will participate in the Collegiate Learning Assessment conducted by the RAND Corporation this fall.

This project, a study of college student learning, will allow the university to understand how it contributes to the skill development of students. More>>>

Athletics to Broadcast Home Games on Internet

The University of Texas at Tyler athletics department has announced that the majority of home sports events will be broadcast live over the Internet this year on the department’s home page via streaming audio.

Streaming broadcasts are essentially the same as a regular radio broadcast except that listeners will pick up the broadcast over the Internet. More>>>

UT Tyler Local Host Site for Satellite Conference

The UT Tyler College of Business and Technology will serve as local host for Living Leadership – Delivering Results the Right Way, a live global event via satellite, on Oct. 20.

The event is scheduled for 9:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Cowan Center. More>>>

Baseball/softballs fields - Phase I Nearing completion. Phase I includes the earthwork, drainage, grading, retaining walls, irrigation and sod.

Dirt berms, landscaping and sidewalks along Campus Drive Project nearing completion. Additional irrigation and landscaping being installed.

Dormitory Construction estimated to begin in October 2004. Details>>>

Engineering, Sciences and Technology Building Project underway. Building expected to be ready for usage by fall 2005.

The IntercomOnline is published monthly during the summer, on the first Monday of each month. The online newsletter will return to its weekly publication schedule at the beginning of the fall semester.

To announce an upcoming event in the IntercomOnline, submit the information by filling out the submission form. The event will be published in the IntercomOnline as well as the Online Campus Calendar and UT Tyler Home Page.
