| State Employee Charitable Campaign Begins Sept. 20
The UT Tyler 2004 State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) will
commence Sept. 20 and continue through Oct. 8.
The SECC provides a convenient way for members of the campus
community to give to 385 social service and charitable agencies
that help those in need locally as well as around the state, nation
and world.
Collectively, the 25 counties that comprise our SECC area have
set a goal of $120,000 this year. UT Tyler is a major part of this
effort, and has set its institutional goal at $12,000. The university
raised more than $11,000 last year.
Contributions are strictly voluntary and are tax deductible.
Employees may give by cash, check, money order or payroll deduction.
Each departmental safety liaison (DSL) will distribute SECC brochures
and pledge forms to employees in their area in the near future.
Detailed campaign booklets will be available through DSLs if
additional information is needed. Self-explanatory instructions
for completing the pledge form are on the form itself, but if further
assistance is needed, please contact your DSL, Kay Smith, business
affairs senior administrative assistant or Dr. Jim Ferguson, vice
president for business affairs.
All completed pledge forms should be returned to the Office of
Business Affairs (ADM 314) by Oct. 8.
