Library to Present Readers Theatre Sept. 13

UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library and the Tyler Public Library will jointly participate in "The September Project" Monday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m., with a free readers theatre performance of “In Their Own Words: excerpts from great speeches in American history.” The performance will be in the main floor lounge of Muntz Library.

Largely sponsored by public libraries, more than 350 September Project sites nationwide will present creative ways to reflect upon democracy, citizenship and patriotism. Activities include discussions, lectures, readings, musical and dramatic performances, art and historical exhibits, film screenings, children's programs, voter registration — all locally organized and free to the public.

The September Project’s goal is to gather people across the nation in public spaces in nearly every state to exchange ideas about issues that matter.
