For reservations, call 903.566.7490 or 903.566.7254, 1 p.m. to 5p.m., Monday through Friday.
Based on the Academy Award winning animated feature film, the UT Tyler production will feature a cast of 50 including university and community students, community adults and children.
“I do not know of another opportunity where a musical, which is still performing in the original run of Broadway, has been licensed to be performed by university and regional theatre companies,” said Dr. James A. Hatfield, UT Tyler theatre professor and director for the musical production. “It is a great opportunity to perform this material and create a production style that is uniquely ours.”
Beauty and the Beast features the human story of Belle, a free thinking and independent woman, who trades her freedom for her father’s. Locked away in the beast’s castle, Belle learns the true meaning of love.
