Disney introduced Verdi’s “AIDA,” a stirring tale of love, betrayal and courage, to new audiences when it opened a smash-hit musical by the same name on Broadway a few seasons ago.
This classic, love story between a king’s daughter and a general in the enemy’s army takes place in Ancient Egypt, the perfect setting with its massive pyramids and golden desert sand.
