Construction Updates
Baseball/softballs fields - Phase I – Completed. Phase I included the earthwork, drainage, grading, retaining walls, irrigation and sod.
Baseball/softball fields - Phase II – Completed. Phase II included the grandstands for both fields and some lighting.
Baseball/softball fields - Phase III – Construction documents to be completed by Aug. 15, 2005. Scope of work to include entrance to the fields, pedestrian walkways and the field house/concession building.
Ratliff Engineering and Sciences Complex – Project underway. Building expected to be ready for usage by January 2006.
Health Clinic – A contract has been awarded to RPR Construction. Work is underway. Location is on the corner of Patriot Drive and Spur 248.
Library parking lot expansion – Design completed.
Ornelas Residence Hall – Project underway. Residence hall will be five stories with 268 beds. Expected to open in fall 2006.
University Center Renovation – Carter and Burgess is preparing the schematic design for the renovation of University Center.
Patriot Village Overflow Parking Lot – Proposals have been received and are being evaluated. Project is for the construction of a 64-space parking lot adjacent to the Patriot Village Apartments.
