| UT Tyler's New Buildings Named
The UT System Board of Regents approved the naming of UT Tyler’s two most recent facilities, which are currently under construction.
The engineering and sciences building will be the William R. “Bill” Ratliff Engineering and Science Complex. The two-building complex will house various elements of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, as well as College of Arts and Sciences. UT Expands Food Options
Eight new food options including Mexican, Asian and breakfast foods will be available at UT Tyler this fall.
UT Tyler food venues will open Aug. 23.
Casa Solana and Mein Street Wok will be located next to Subway in front of the bookstore. Hours of operations are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. More...
New Food Venue in Business Building

A new food venue, located on the first floor of the Business Administration Building, will open Aug. 23, announced Lynne Culverhouse, assistant vice president for business affairs.
Liberty Station will bring a “New York” ambience to UT Tyler and will offer Starbucks coffee, specialty coffees and tea. More...

P2 Card Now Accepted at Off-Campus Locations

Four off-campus restaurants in Tyler are now accepting the Patriot Power card as payment.
The participating restaurant locations are:

BSA Holds "Education is Power" School Supply Drive
Members of the UT Tyler Black Student Association hand out school supplies to the Tyler community at an “Education is Power” school supply drive Saturday. The BSA equipped about 150 students from kindergarten to high school with $400 worth of supplies such as backpacks, pens, paper, glue, folders, colors and scissors. More...

Individual tickets for actress and comedian Lily Tomlin are on sale now, announced Susan Thomae-Morphew, director of the UT Tyler Cowan Center.

Engineering Building Update
The south building of the William R. “Bill” Ratliff Engineering and Sciences Complex is scheduled to be completed for occupancy and classes by the beginning of the spring 2006 semester. The south building is closest to upper Harvey Lake.
“Certain elements of the College of Engineering and Computer Science as well as the Department of Chemistry will begin to move into the south building near the end of October or early November,” said Dr. Jim Ferguson, vice president of business affairs. More...

UT Tyler Prepares for Second Ph.D. Program
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has authorized the planning of a Ph.D. program in human resource development, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.
