UT Tyler's New Buildings Named
The UT System Board of Regents approved the naming of UT Tyler’s two most recent facilities, which are currently under construction.
The engineering and sciences building will be the William R. “Bill” Ratliff Engineering and Science Complex. The two-building complex will house various elements of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, as well as College of Arts and Sciences. The south building is scheduled to open in spring 2006.
The Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Z. Ornelas Residence Hall will be UT Tyler’s third student housing option. At 79,968 square feet, the student residence facility and academic excellence center it will hold 268 students. It is scheduled to open in fall 2006.
