Sorority Recruitment to Take Place in Spring

UT Tyler’s first Sorority Recruitment will be held for UT Tyler female students Monday, Jan. 23 – Friday, Jan. 27, 2006.

The three future sororities at UT Tyler are Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma and Gamma Phi Beta.

Women can register for recruitment starting Monday, Dec. 5 in the University Center, room 111. There is no registration fee, and all women participating in recruitment must register prior to Jan. 23.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday, Jan. 23:

Information night 7 p.m. in the University Center open area .
Each sorority will present an information session, and women can sign-up for interviews.

Tuesday, Jan. 24 and Wednesday, Jan. 25:

Interviews at various times in the University Center, room 102.
Women will participate in individual interviews with each of the three sororities.

Thursday, Jan. 26:

Preference night 6 p.m. in the University Center open area.
By invitation only, women will have the opportunity to attend up to three preference events.

Friday, Jan. 27:

Bid Day 6 p.m. in the University Center open area.
Women will pick up bids and participate in activities with their new sisters.

To provide more information about Greeks, a second "Go Greek Week" will take place Monday, Dec. 5 – Friday, Dec. 9. Sorority representatives will be on campus to promote Greek life.
