UT Tyler Art Student’s Work Featured at Meadows Gallery
Graduating art students at The University of Texas at Tyler will exhibit works Monday, Dec. 5 - Friday, Jan. 20 at the Meadows Gallery, located in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center, gallery director Matthew Rich announced.
The Meadows Gallery is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by special appointment 903.566.7250. An opening reception will be held 6 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at the Meadows Gallery.
All events are free and open to the public.
The senior exhibition is prepared and executed in partial fulfillment of the bachelor of fine art degree. The seniors will exhibit a body of work completed during their years of study at UT Tyler. Their works represent a variety of media including drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture.
Exhibiting artists are Beth Dungan, Elise Wilson, Joanna Mann, Krysten Bailey, Laura Murphy, Meguri Hayakawa and Suzanne Cutrer.
The graduating students will give a series of presentations about their works followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience at 5 p.m. Dec. 7 – 8 at the gallery.
Dungan, Mann and Murphy will present Wednesday, Dec. 7 and Bailey, Cutrer, Hayakawa and Wilson will present Thursday, Dec. 8.
