Second Baseball Season Opens at Home with a Sweep

For the UT Tyler baseball team, there’s no place like home. Playing at their new baseball/softball complex Saturday proved to be beneficial as the Patriots opened the season with a two-game sweep.

State Representative Leo Berman threw the first pitch to start off the season, and the hint of rain did not ward off spectators.

With just a few sprinkles of rain, the Patriots defeated Central Baptist College 6-2 and 16-4.

The next home game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 1 at 6 p.m. against Jarvis Christian.
