| John Stossel Concludes Distinguished Lecture Series
Journalist John Stossel will speak at the Cowan Center at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, completing the 22 nd season of the Distinguished Lecture Series.
Ticket prices are $51, which includes the reception book signing and valet parking, $26 and $16, and can be purchased at the Cowan Center box office, open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. A free student seminar will be held at 4:30 p.m.
Stossel, an award-winning news correspondent, was named co-anchor of ABC News “20/20” in May 2003. He joined the news magazine in 1981 and began doing one-hour primetime specials in 1994. In addition to longer in-depth reports for “20/20” on subjects raging from addiction to parenting issues in his “Family Fix” segments, Stossel is featured in a weekly segment entitled “Give Me a Break.”
With 19 Emmy Awards, he has been honored five times for excellence in consumer reporting by the National Press Club. Among his other honorss are the George Polk Award for Outstanding Local Reporting and the George Foster Peabody Award.
