HPC Fitness Challenge Begins Jan. 24
The Herrington Patriot Center is offering the Great Fitness Challenge Jan. 24-March 6 to encourage HPC members to reach their fitness goals.
Participants are asked to keep track of the amount of time they workout over a six-week period. More>>>

Theatre Nominated for Kennedy Center Awards
The UT Tyler student repertory acting company has been chosen to present its production of “Vincent in Brixton’’ at the Region VI Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in February, Dr. James Hatfield, UT Tyler director of theatre, announced.
UT Tyler was selected to participate in the regional festival after winning both the Critic’s Choice and Director’s Choice awards at the state level. UT Tyler will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Ark., the Region VI festival host site. More>>>

President’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List Announced
UT Tyler has named 193 students to the President’s Honor Roll and 251 students to the Dean’s List for the 2004 fall semester.
To be named to the Dean’s List at UT Tyler, a student must have completed at least nine semester credit hours at the university with a grade point average of 3.75 or above.
To be named to the President’s Honor Roll at UT Tyler, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester credit hours with grades of “A” in all courses that carry grade points. More>>>

Baseball Team Makes Contributions to Azleway Boys’ Ranch
UT Tyler head baseball coach James Vilade and several of his players spent the day at Azleway Boys' Ranch in Smith County on Jan. 12, answering a call for help in starting a new boys baseball program.
The Patriots presented Azleway with about 40 gloves, 15 bats, travel bags and dozens of baseballs, all donated by the players, community members and area leaders. More>>>

Tourism Marketing in Canada Course Planned for Summer II
UT Tyler will offer a tourism marketing class that will travel to Alberta, Canada, during the Summer II term. The class will be July 15-23.
Participants will study tourism management, meet with managers in the tourism industry and take part in numerous activities. There are no prerequisites, and the trip is open both to business and non-business students for credit. Guests are also welcome. More>>>
