Sutton Named Director of Student Development
“Although there were several excellent finalists, Mindy’s experience at the University of Houston, as well as the thoroughness and quality of her work since arriving at UT Tyler, figured heavily into this decision,” said Dr. Patterson. Sutton was hired in February as a student development specialist charged with implementing the Greek system at UT Tyler. “We are fortunate to have Ms. Sutton lead the student development team as we all strive to meet the challenges of significantly enhancing student retention and student involvement in campus life,” said Dr. Patterson. Sutton holds a bachelor of arts degree in public relations from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Science degree in education from Indiana University.
