| Computer Science Hosts ACM High School Contest

Sixteen teams from Texas high schools competed in the 12 th annual Association of Computing Machinery high school programming contest at UT Tyler March 11.
The winners are as follows:
First Place: Waller High School- Brent Leith, Clint McCay, Tristan Santibanez
Second Place: Waller High School – Patrick Foley, Shaun Sherman, Jonathan Timmer
Third Place: Oakridge High School- Kris, Kazlowski, Josh Lim
The teams attempted to solve 13 problems. First and second place teams successfully solved 12 problems and third place solved 11 problems.
Volunteers for the contest included Dr. Arun Kulkarni, Dr. Artur Mikitiuk, Dr. Leonard Brown, Dr. Steve Rainwater, Ms. Kay Pleasant, Mr. Michael Martin, Mr. Bill McClenny, Ms. Sue Gossett and the UT Tyler ACM Student Chapter.
