The Annual International Exhibition, a juried competition, will feature works by artists Brent Adrian, William Betts, Daniel Blanco, David Blow, Candace M. Briceño, Suzanne Michele Chouteau, Jonas Criscoe, Lourdes Delgado, Tracy Featherstone, Elaine Fisher, Candice Flewharty, Antonio Frias, Eric Gibbons, Young-jin Han, John F. Hodgson II, Peter Hoffer, Kathleen King, Joseph A. Lupo, Deirdre McConnell, Jennifer Nelson, Denny Pickett, Mark Pomilio, Naomi Robbins, Amy Sacksteder and Magdalen Wong.

Grabner is an artist, writer, teacher, curator and gallery director based in Oak Park, Ill. Her paintings are exhibited nationally and internationally. She is currently an associate professor at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and co-director of The Suburban, an exhibition space in Oak Park.

Celebrating its 20 th anniversary, the annual exhibition is organized by the UT Tyler art department. “The exhibition has brought an accomplished and diverse range of artists, curators and writers to East Texas to act as jurors for this competition,’’ Rich said. “With them has come an influx of contemporary art from around the country and the world.’’

Through purchase awards the art department has built a permanent collection from this body of work. This collection, now numbering more than 200 objects, is exhibited regularly and exists as a resource for the university’s students as well as for the larger East Texas art community.

The gallery is closed on academic holidays. For more information please contact Rich at 903-566-7483.
