Technology Department Affiliates with NAIT

The UT Tyler department of technology has become one of only 40 members of the National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT) Foundation, Dr. Clayton Allen, chair of the department of technology, announced.

NAIT has been the crediting body for all undergraduate degrees in the program since 2002. It serves as a professional organization and has limited, elite memberships.

“The membership represents quality for the institution and the students,” said Dr. Allen.

“It also adds validity to the degrees ensuring a student that graduates from this program has been exposed to certain criteria.”

The NAIT Foundation, established and operated within a 501(c)3 NAIT incorporation status, is organized exclusively to actively and aggressively solicit funds from individuals, organizations and trusts to support activities consistent with the purpose and objectives of NAIT as established in the organization’s constitution and bylaws.
